Membership & account information

Library membership is free to any resident of Arnprior, McNab/Braeside and Lanark Highlands. The annual non-resident membership is $60.

We offer printing, copying, scanning and printing services during regular hours – or simply complete this form and we will prepare it for you.

 Yes, and we continue to offer a grace period of a week on overdue items.

Consult your school to ensure they are allowing off-site proctoring then call the library to schedule your exam time with the Head Librarian. 

Come in while we’re open for free, unlimited WiFi access. We have also boosted our WiFi bandwidth and signal strength to the library parking lot. It is an open network and access is available 24/7.

We are accepting book donations, but are limiting what we can accept. Please no more than 10 books at a time and meeting the following criteria:

  • Published in the last 6 years (since 2017)
  • In excellent condition (no need of repair, no highlighting etc.)
  • No textbooks
  • No magazines

Donations are assessed and then either added to the collection (as new or as replacement for an existing copy) or added to the Book Sale, the proceeds of which are used to purchase new materials.

The 1895 by-law that created the Arnprior Public Library.

1895- 1967: From Mechanics’ Institute to Public Library, located in the Arnprior Town Hall, Elgin Street.

1967-1991: Centennial project brought the library into the DA Gillies Building with the museum created on the second floor.

1990 – present: Construction began in 1990 with the official opening in 1991. Expansion into the lower level was started in April 2010 with official opening ceremony in October 2010.
