Plans are well underway for another great summer of free library programs and fun. Take a sneak peek at our plans on the library’s calendar. Registration for our fabulous Summer Reading Club opens on May 25th.
OTHER KEY DATES:
- June 30: Registration opens for Week 1 of library story time & craft programs
- July 2: Family Fiddle Fest with the Felhavers for all kids who have signed up for the SRC by noon. RSVP is required for this kick-off party
- July 2 to August 28: SRC members start collecting wooden coins with each daily checkout of at least 5 items
- July 6 – August 28: Redeem coins for some fabulous coupons
- July 7: Registration opens for Week 2 of library story time & craft programs
- July 14: Registration opens for week 3 of library story time & craft programs
- July 21: Registration opens for week 4 of library story time & craft programs
- July 28: Registration for week 5 of library story time & craft programs
- July 29: Registration opens for our end-of-summer party on August 19
- August 4: Registration opens for week 5 of story time & craft programs
- August 19: End of summer celebration with a Foam Party for all SRC members. Location: Arnprior Airport in partnership with the Arnprior Fire Department.

Baby Rhyme Time
For babies (5 months to 12 months) and their grownups. Join us for stories, songs and play!
Offered in six-week sessions from September to May, Wednesdays at 11: 30 a.m and interest permitting Fridays at 1:30pm
Toddler Tales Drop-In
Drop-in story times. No registration required, just a library membership!
Fridays, 10-10:30 am (with a parent or caregiver.) Not offered in January, June or September.
Preschool Story Time Drop-in
Drop-in story times. No registration required, just a library membership!
Fridays, 11-11:30 am (independently.) Not offered in January, June or September.
100 Books to Share Before Kindergarten
Have you checked out our little red wagon display? It’s the home of our “100 Books to Share Before Kindergarten” collection. You can see our entire ‘best of the best’ list on our catalogue – check under “themed children’s collection” in the kiosk.
Share all 100 books with your little one and receive a certificate and a fill-in-the-blank letter to present to the kindergarten teacher on the first day of school. Download the brochure with details and the book list, or pick up your copy at the library today!
LEGO Lounge
LEGO Lounge for children 5 and older. Build with our vast collection of LEGO and then we’ll showcase it in our display case for the entire week! Don’t forget we offer healthy snacks too!
Wednesdays from 3:45 – 4:35pm during the school year October through May.
Monday Moments Yoga
Join us for a relaxing yoga session with Alexandra Leslie, Geared to the after school crowd, all skill levels are welcome. The library will supply yoga mats for this free program.
