March 1st is just around the corner and the library will be celebrating Mardi Gras in grand style!
It’s the music, the food and decor of New Orleans – as authentic as you can get and no need to travel! Saturday March 1st in the beautifully transformed library featuring live dance music by Ball & Chain and the Vanier Playboys – Ottawa’s premier Cajun and Zydeco bands with the New Orleans flavour. Doors open at 7:30pm. Riley’s Catering is pulling out all the stops with a fantastic menu for all night long cocktail food; Mallard’s is creating a special ice cream flavour just for this event; and the cash bar will be open all night. All proceeds benefit the library and its programming.
