Did you know the library offers a variety of free drop-in activities every Monday?
At 10am we’re set up in front of the cozy fireplace downstairs where knitters (and other hand held crafters) meet to work on their projects, have a coffee and socialize. Also at 10am the main hall is set up to welcome artists. Whether you’re a beginner or an accomplished artist, you’re invited to bring your current project and work on your creation in a group setting. We currently have artists working with watercolour, acrylics and coloured pencils. What’s your favourite medium?
Later in the day, we welcome our volunteer Sonia who leads our Spanish Conversation group in the beautiful Scharf Hall. This is an ideal meet-up if you’re wanting to maintain your language skills, improve them prior to heading off on vacation or simply meet new people in the community. The Spanish Conversation group meets between 6 – 7 pm.
