The Arnprior Public Library is proud to serve the communities of Arnprior, McNab/Braeside and Lanark Highlands with more than 6,000 active patrons in our single branch. We offer a myriad of programs creating a vibrant community hub. APL’s circulation of physical and digital materials tops 145,000 annually.
Strong programming is a mainstay of our award-winning success and our goal is to build on that solid foundation by filling two permanent full-time positions.
General Qualifications:
- Post Secondary education in Library or Information Science from an accredited institution or equivalent education
- Understanding and appreciation of the philosophy of public service to all, in accordance with human rights legislation and the principles of equity and access in the delivery of library service
- Professional skills, including information services, collections and the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate programs
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Flexibility
